Compassion and bringing change for children who are unheard and unseen, is my motivation for working with Kenya Thriving.

TRUSTEE
My passion is to bring hope and a future, to encourage and grow potential, for fifty one children in Kenya who were born into poverty and orphaned. I cannot help everyone, but for these few I can champion them, advocate for them and pray for them.

FUNDRAISING SUPPORT
My family and I were drawn to Kenya Thriving’s unique goal of creating individual family units at Otacho Christian Children’s Home. In 2012, we chose Kenya Thriving’s “Homes for Orphans” project to benefit from funds raised by our challenge to cycle the length of France. The proceeds from this enabled the building of the first house. Four more houses followed funded by rides across Switzerland, Spain and UK. It is a real joy for us to partner with Kenya Thriving and to see so many children being helped to grow and flourish, having had such a difficult start in life.

It is an honour to be able to help children who are less privileged, whether it be in their home life or education. Working with Kenya Thriving provides a fantastic opportunity to pass this principle on to our own children.

Having worked in the education sector, it is good to be able to help students with school resources, football kits, even light to enable them to complete their homework! Things which are so often taken for granted.
